Program Fees

The AWOL program is designed to offer youth high quality arts education coupled with a research and evidence based youth development model that includes group-level mentoring, hands-on project based learning activities, enrichment trips both within the community and outside and most importantly relationship building with positive peers. The program ‘s annual cost is estimated at $3000 per youth, a cost which is offset substantially by AWOL successful history of grants and contracts for services with the City of Savannah, the Chatham County Commission and the United Way of the Coastal Empire. The program also accepts donations from individual and corporate sponsors to help ensure that no child is turned away because of an inability to pay.

Registration Fee-$30-ANNUAL

Program Fee-$55-$60 (depends on payment method)

Covers all AWOL programs for 10 month season 

Activity/Enrichment Trip Fee-$150-$250 annually

*Youth referred from the juvenile justice system are not required to pay program fees.

* All registration, program and activity fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Summer Enrichment Trips


Each year graduating AWOL youth participants and families are invited to attend a special summer youth enrichment trip. AWOL prides itself on giving youth opportunities to explore the world outside of their community. Past trips have included the Brave New Voices Competition in San Francisco, CA and Washington, DC as well as trips to Montgomery, Alabama to participate in the Alabama State University Summer Theater Camp. These trips require a significant amount of fundraising and are not covered by our regular program and activity fees. If invited to participate, parents will be required to support 100% of the cost associated with the trip. The average cost associated with our summer trips is $350-$500 dollar per youth. Parents will be given ample time to decide whether or not to participate as well as offered an extended payment plan to cover the cost of the trip in smaller more manageable payments.

Financial Assistance Request


We realize that parents have many financial obligations. In the event that a parent needs help we are willing to take Hardship Request on a case-by-case basis. Scholarships funds are limited to only those who are experiencing severe financial difficulty. Financial hardship request will not be considered for the summer enrichment trip activities.
