Patrick Rodgers, Artist Facilitator-Sound Design Program
Artist Facilitator-Sound Design Program
Patrick Rodgers has better taste in music than most people in the world. Raised in a small town by fans of everything from jazz to Jimi Hendrix, he grew up with an appreciation for a wide variety of musical styles, and was often seen at shows throughout high school blatantly not fitting in. While attending Bard College, he tossed aside the psychological scars of playing the tuba in middle school and began to DJ as well as produce, much to the chagrin of roommates.
After a brief stint living in Germany, he finally graduated before bouncing to Savannah, GA to take up the hermetical life of a writer, covering music, travel and culture for national magazines like YRB and Waxpoetics, as well as becoming the Music Editor of The South magazine. He then spent two years running a small public relations firm, Press Play Public Relations, which did consulting with local businesses and independent artists, including press kits and social media campaigns. He is currently the Community Editor for the weekly newspaper Connect Savannah. He lives with his beautiful wife, Carrie, and their two cats.
