Film and Photography Artist Facilitator

AWOL All Walks of Life Inc.is a non- profit organization that is currently looking for instructors for our Film and Photography Program. This is a part-time instructor position and requires you to work with youth in the evenings 2-3 days a week. The ability to teach introductory and intermediate material is highly preferred. In addition, the position would be responsible for the organization and management of AWOL Media Production Warehouse which provides film and video production services to professional clients throughout the community utilizing youth within AWOL media production programs.

Essential Job Functions:
Prepare assessment materials in accordance with AWOL program/project requirements.
Implement and deliver in an inspirational and disciplined method that is creative and cohesive to the youth served at organization.

Provide instruction to youth in film and photography with a primary focus on film making
High level of organization and management skills for operation of AWOL Media Production Warehouse Ability to deliver high quality film/video projects in multiple format against tight deadlines Experience with web video and social media platforms. Ability to supervise and engage the work of students.Perform other related duties as assigned by Administrative Staff.
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

1. Extensive knowledge in the field of professional film and photography.
2. Ability to effectively teach youth 12-18yrs old.
3. Ability to work within a collaborative and relaxed environment.
4. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
5. Ability to work effectively and patiently with youth and other staff.

Qualifications:
- BA or MFA in Photography/Film or at least 3 years of work or school related experience
- Experience working as an instructor with youth or a willingness to do so
